Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
The Popes name is NOT written in the book of life so it can’t be removed! He could have the plagues come upon him though!
The Guardian: He told the TV2000 channel: “It is not a good translation because it speaks of a God who induces temptation.”
He added: “I am the one who falls; it’s not him pushing me into temptation to then see how I have fallen.
Oh? I thought that the Pope was considered God here on earth! So is he admitting he is fallible and a sinner? Then why do people bow to him and worship him like a god?
“A father doesn’t do that, a father helps you to get up immediately. It’s Satan who leads us into temptation, that’s his department.”
The 80-year-old also highlighted that the Catholic church in France had adapted the prayer, and uses the phrase “do not let us fall into temptation” instead.
The two versions of the Lord’s Prayer most commonly used in England both say “lead us not into temptation”.
“I’m not aware of any plans to change the translation in the English-speaking world but you can certainly see the logic of doing so,” said Austen Ivereigh, the pope’s biographer.
“It is not God who tempts us into sin but the enemy of human nature. But tradition and familiarity are also important factors in weighing up any decision to modify a translation.” Source: The Guardian
As much as I loathe what the pope symbolizes, (not the man himself) as well as the Catholic church and its doctrine, he is essentially correct about the phrase “lead us not into temptation” The King James, and other translations, should have translated lead us not into “testing” which many articles I have seen chastising the pope state. It is in fact Satan who does the tempting and God allows him to do so, to “test” us.
Why dose God “test” us?
When we ask why God tests us or allows us to be tested, we are admitting that testing does indeed come from Him. When God tests His children, He does a valuable thing. David sought God’s testing, asking Him to examine his heart and mind and see that they were true to Him (Psalm 26:2; 139:23). When Abram was tested by God in the matter of sacrificing Isaac, Abram obeyed (Hebrews 11:17–19) and showed to all the world that he is the father of faith (Romans 4:16).
In both the Old and New Testaments, the words translated “test” mean “to prove by trial.” Therefore, when God tests His children, His purpose is to prove that our faith is real. Not that God needs to prove it to Himself since He knows all things, but He is proving to us that our faith is real, that we are truly His children, and that no trial will overcome our faith. He also does it to get our attention and to purge us of the habitual sin in our lives.

Another part that could have and should have been translated better is “deliver us from evil” It should read “deliver us from the evil ONE because as stated earlier, it IS Lucifer who does the tempting.
The corrupted NIV keeps the traditional wording correct but has foot notes:
And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’
Footnotes:
a. Matthew 6:13 The Greek for temptation can also mean testing.
b. Matthew 6:13 Or from evil; some late manuscripts one, / for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
This is why it is imperative to have a word for word translation from the best manuscripts available. You should never use a Catholic, paraphrase or other similar Bible.
Here are four of the best. King James Version, The Amplified Bible, English Standard Version, Young’s Literal Translation.I prefer the KJV and use it exclusively on all of my websites. I occasionally will use others as reference.
People say the KJV and others are to hard to understand. That is true if you are not Born Again and have the Holy Spirit to guide you. When I was Unsaved, I read the Bible and did not understand what I was reading! (see1st Corinthians 2:10-16 below) Once I was Born Again, I was able to understand! Oh and an aside note. People also say the same thing about understanding the Book of Revelation. Get saved and you will understand it!
I use the KJV that has replaced the Elizabethan English. (thee, thy, thou etc) That DOSE NOT change the meaning, the doctrine of scripture. Nor will changing Temptation to Testing change doctrine, or get your name stricken from the Book of Life.
It is better to leave it AS IS and just note what it should read and explain why! Which leads to my next statements.
It is also a good idea to have a good study Bible. I recommend the Expositors Study Bible. It is also a good idea to have commentaries on each book of the Bible. I recommend the Jimmy Swaggart Bible commentaries. They are a consensus of several scholars condensed down in easy to understand language!
A word-to-word Bible translation is a Bible that aims to hew as closely as possible to the wording and grammatical structure of the original text. (The more technical term for “word-to-word” is formal equivalence.) Whenever possible, a word-for-word translation tries to translate each word, phrase, and concept in the original text with an exactly matching word, phrase, and concept in the target language. People sometimes call this kind of Bible a “literal” translation.
What’s Important to Know About Word-for-word Bible Translations?
1. They aim to reduce the “human interpretation” factor in Bible translation. By sticking as closely as possible to the original words and structure, these translations reduce the number of major interpretative decisions that a translator has to make—and thus, reduce the chance that fallible translators will make the wrong translation choice and distort the meaning of the original.2. “Word-for-word” is a goal to be aimed at, not completely achieved. Because no two languages are exact 1:1 matches to each other, it’s not possible to create a 100% word-for-word translation (certainly not one that is comprehensible). While translators may try to be as “literal” as possible, they must inevitably make many interpretive decisions, sometimes choosing the best of several unsatisfactory options. And it’s not possible to completely remove fallible human interpretation from the mix—even the decision to translate a Bible word-to-word is an interpretive act! Nonetheless, a word-for-word translation tries to keep translation compromises to a minimum. Source
As I said I loathe the doctrine of the Catholic church. The demons in the pope are just trying to stir pot so to speak. Satan knows what the Word of God says and what it means. He tried to use it against Jesus, trying to get him to get OUT of the WILL of God when he tempted him in the wilderness. He is trying to cause confusion especially among Catholics who have no idea what the Word of God says!
Religious Secular man in a Cult that can’t get Jesus right, can’t discern Spiritual things
1st Corinthians 2:10-16 “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ”

If you go to the store to buy Meat, don't run to the Milk section or the Junk Food aisle looking for it!!
The Meat Section is the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Milk Section is likened to those who will not preach on sin and Hell, just a feel good message, the Social gospel.
The Junk Food Isle is the outright false doctrine AKA the prosperity gospel, name it and claim it, the Hebraic Roots movement and other false teachings!!
Feasting on just Milk and Junk will eventually cause you great harm, you can count on it!!
